35th Annual Tour d’Italia, a Historical Dedication and Garage Sales

  • May 12, 2021

On Saturday, June 19, 2021, the 35th Annual Tour d’Italia returns to Italy High School at 300 College St.  2019 was the last year of this historical bike race due to complications with Covid-19.  However, this year returns with a bang having 100’s of participants.  Registration for this event is here  https://tourditalia.org/

Also, in conjunction with the race, events are happening around the city.  The City Wide Garage Sale will be hosted by the City of Italy.  We will have vendors and the Masonic Lodge #647 will be selling BBQ around the Pavilion, benefitting the upcoming Italy High School seniors.  At 2:00pm, there will be a dedication of the Texas Historical Commission marker for the Italy Colored City Hall Museum at 605 Williams St., reception following.

If you are interested in having a garage sale at your home or the Cargill-Gallman Pavilion or  a vendor selling handmade items, trinkets or food, please register here (Please note there are different sign up sheets for garage sale and vendors).   Garage-Vendor Sale forms

There is no fee to have a garage sale nor will it be counted against your yearly count of 3 garage sales. There is also no fee to be a Vendor at the Pavilion.  Please fill out the form and return to the City Hall.  You may email it to ASutherland@ItalyCityHall.org or fax to 833-311-1632.  Call 972-483-7329 for any questions or concerns. Remember, if you want to have a place at the Pavilion for your garage sale, please send in your form as soon as possible, this is first come first serve.

This is going to be fun and helpful to Italy High School, Italy Police Department, the City of Italy and you!
