City Administrator, Keith Whitfield, wants to update the citizens of Italy periodically as projects around the city proceed. Here are few updates:
UPDATE Downtown Revitalization Grant-Work formally began the week of April 7
General Land Office Grant (GLO)-Our application is in the review status.
CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) for Clark Street-the plans are being prepared at this time.
UPDATE Home Program Grant – Procuring for the City Administrator for project.
Lead/Copper line inventory and replacement project-Application is in review.
Cooling Tower Project-the Contract has been awarded and will begin repairs in June 2025.
UPDATE LR Campbell Road Project began in mid-March.
UPDATE Annual Street Project–Dilworth Street projected to begin in May.
UPDATE Water meter project-This project has been completed.
